Floods and downpours! This is the scene in Galway city this afternoon

Well, it was good while it lasted.

This morning came the news that the bright, dry and sunny weather is to be replaced with showers and thunderstorms.

Munster and Connacht will bear the brunt of the rain today, with showers spreading to the rest of the country later.

The rain in Galway has let to spot flooding in some parts of the city.

Let’s look on the bright side eh? No need to water the plants for another few days.
