In Pics and Video: When celebrities get confused by geography

Lady Gaga may have gotten confused as to where she was last week, but she wasn’t the first and she won’t be the last.

SO WE ALL now know that Lady Gaga has some UK-related issues, thinking as she did that she was in the United Kingdom when she was actually here – in Ireland.

She’s definitely not the first person to be born this way, however. *tumbleweed*

Anywho, for your enjoyment The Daily Edge rounds up some other celebrity geography gaffes. Enjoy.

Punchestown Racecourse, Naas, Co… Dublin?

When Eminem played Oxegen in 2010, he announced his arrival with a simple but confusing “Whassup Dublin?”. In his defence, it was a question rather than a statement of fact. Perhaps he just thought his voice would carry.

“Just cause I don’t know where I am, doesn’t mean I’m not getting paid, rrriiigghhhtt?” (Mark Stedman/Photocall Ireland)

We need more maps

Responding to why some Americans can’t find America on a map, Miss Teen South Carolina thinks she knows why – “some people out there in our nation don’t have maps”. Simples. Maybe Sarah Palin is stockpiling them.

Small, far away

We reckon Kristen Stewart is pretty clever. Clever enough to know that she can’t see Russia from London but, based on the video below, not clever enough to know that getting there by car could take a while. After all, it is roughly 2,500 kilometers.

North America is a confusing continent – if you’re Katy Perry, that is

Asked where she would live outside of North America, the California girl could have benefited from having a map to hand. If only people had listened to Miss Teen South Carolina and bought some more of them. Watch (19m 48s in):
