GYWNETH PALTROW HAS made us groan with her Goop antics before, but this might just take the biscuit.
Yesterday the actress posted the recipe for the smoothie she drinks every morning and, quelle surprise, it’s both insane and incredibly expensive.
Let’s take a look at the ingredients, shall we?
Almond milk, almond butter, coconut oil… so far, so reasonable.
But ho shou wu (“adaptogenic hormone tonic”), ashgawandha (“adaptogenic nervous system tonic”) and cordyceps (“adaptogenic energy mushroom”)? Please now.
After all that, Gywneth suggests adding a smattering of Action Dust, Beauty Dust, Brain Dust, Goodnight Dust, Sex Dust or Spirit Dust — your choice!

Right. (You may recall these magic potions from this juice shop owner’s frankly bonkers food diary we wrote about a few weeks ago.)
To finish off, Gwyneth suggests adding a pink of Himalayan salt and a pinch of vanilla powder. (The latter is optional, though. Thanks, Gwyneth.)
So how much is this smoothie going to set you back? Daily Mail reports that all the ingredients would cost about €200 ($223). Sure, doesn’t a tub of Sex Dust cost €53 alone? (Not a sentence we ever thought we’d be writing.)
And while Vanity Fair points out that that breaks down to about €9.45 ($10.50) per smoothie, it’s still a fair whack.
