Holly Willoughby

Holly Willoughby is reportedly set to sue a weight loss company for using her image without permission

The TV presenter is conscious of the impact these products can have on people.

HOLLY WILLOUGHBY IS truly one of the United Kingdom’s greatest treasures.

The ITV show This Morning that she co-hosts with Philip Schofield is consistently hilarious while dealing with some very serious topics in a sensitive manner.

Holly’s empathy on television is almost palpable sometimes, which explains why she has such a sensible approach to discussing the topic of weight loss.

She does not discuss her diet or fitness regime publicly because as a person who has interviewed so many individuals with eating disorders, she is aware of the potential impact it could have on people.

She has previously told Prima Magazine:

I try not to focus too much on my appearance. As long as I’m being healthy, that’s good enough for me. I’m quite active and I try not to let the way I look be the main focus because it’s not the important thing.
I know that some people in chat rooms can really fixate on other people’s diets.

So naturally, the presenter would be appalled by the idea of a weight loss company using her image without permission.

One of these adverts was for a weight loss supplement and featured a photo of Holly in a bikini, saying “Holly Willoughby looks as fantastic as ever” before adding that their weight loss supplement was “the key” to Holly’s figure.

The star of This Morning has absolutely no link to the pills whatsoever.

A source close to Holly told The Mirror:

We’re aware of a number of scam websites using images of Holly, along with other celebrities, to sell weight loss products and are liaising with our lawyers about possible legal action.

Apart from potentially being detrimental to the health and wellbeing of people that take the supplement, the website in question has also scammed customers.

A 40-year-old mother from Gloucestershire told The Mirror that she paid £2.50 for a trial supply, only to find that later four payments totalling £300 were taken from her bank account afterwards. She has yet to receive a refund.
