Cork coffee shop totally owns Starbucks with this outdoor sign

The sign was in response to plans for Starbucks to open in Cork.

EARLIER TODAY, CORK coffee shop Idaho Café tweeted this sign.

As you can see, it contains a sly dig at a certain coffee shop that is frequently guilty of spelling people’s names wrong on cups…

The board in question was written in response to Starbucks’ plans to open in Cork.

The owners of Idaho Café outlined their opposition to the coffee giant opening a branch in an open letter on Tumblr yesterday.

Cork still has streets filled with family owned shops and restaurants, markets filled with traders who have a story to tell and bars unchanged in decades. This is our strength, our story, our selling point. If we allow small shops to be replaced by ubiquitous chains selling a product available internationally we sell our very soul. This is our only chance to say, “No, we are different, our City is different and we want it kept different.”
