Redditor Chalipo, a full time student, spent just over a year living with his mam. But dear old mum couldn’t take his attitude, and sent him a hefty bill for putting her out.
Fees include the usual things, like food, chores, cleaning… but it’s the hefty attitude fee that’s the kicker. He owes his aul wan €1,000 “for being an asshole and not appreciative of his mother’s support, financially or otherwise”.
Bit harsh, but he appreciates the lesson.
This was a very effective parenting technique and it has helped me to realize what an entitled little shit I have been. I hope to one day be successful enough to support my family and repay her, but she doesn’t expect me to.
