SIOBHAN O’HAGAN is attempting to end the iPhone versus Samsung once and for all with her latest Instagram.
The fitness personality put an iPhone and Samsung mirror selfie to the test, saying: “I want to take the most aesthetic pictures for Instagram so I want the phone with the best camera.”
So, which is which?
Peep that iPhone selfie on the left, and the Samsung on the right.
Both of these photos are just point and shot – zero edits or special settings.”
The Samsung camera is more flattering – no doubt about that. It makes your skin look smoother. I can see why people like it. The iPhone camera is more accurate in detail.”
However, Siobhan reckons the Samsung’s front camera actually pales in comaprison to any of iPhone’s offerings.
The front camera on the Samsung is woeful compared to the iPhone. It’s like a permanent filter, so some people might actually like that but I prefer accuracy (although when my skin in bad I might want to use the Samsung!)”
O’Hagan’s post highlights just how deceptive social media posting can be, even with out editing. It’s an interesting one, for sure.
