GREGORY PAPADIN was on holiday in Menorca, Spain, and accidentally dropped his iPhone 5 into the sea while trying to record his brother diving off a boat.
When the phone was retrieved it was still working (thanks to a waterproof case), and had recorded its entire journey to the ocean floor.
You can see fish flitting about overhead:
Then the boat’s captain swims into view and fetches the phone.
We doubt this video would be quite as elegant if the phone was dropped down the toilet, where iPhones usually meet their watery ends. But still:
