Jamie Dornan is worried he will get murdered 'like John Lennon'... it's The Dredge

All the best of the day’s celebrity dirt.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Jamie Dornan is scared that he’ll get murdered like John Lennon. In an interview with Details Magazine, the Fifty Shades of Grey star revealed that his biggest fear is getting killed by fans.

I almost don’t want to put this out there into the ether, but I fear I’ll get murdered, like John Lennon, by one of those mad fans at the premiere.

Why would he get murdered, you ask? Because apparently a lot of people aren’t pleased that he stars in the film. (???)

…a lot of people are very angry that I’m playing this character.

Okay.

Dornan then clarified that he does not want to die and joked about predicting his own demise.

And when I do get murdered, people will say, ‘God, isn’t it haunting how he did that interview in Details magazine and predicted his own death on the red carpet?’

Yeah. Gas.

Earlier this week, Calvin Klein unveiled its campaign featuring none other than Justin Bieber. Now TMZ has conducted a very important investigation and found that the underwear brand photoshopped Bieber’s happy trail.

DISGRACEFUL.

Similarly, BreatheHeavy.com posted a GIF that seems to show that Bieber’s, ahem, bulge was also significantly enhanced by Photoshop. A source connected to the shoot also stated that the singer demanded to be airbrushed.

Bieber specified he wanted to look taller and buff. Bigger bulge implied.

So there.

Several actresses have spoken out against Russell Crowe’s recent assertions that female actresses should embrace their age when it comes to acting roles. Speaking to Australian Women’s Weekly, Crowe said:

To be honest, I think you’ll find that the woman who is saying that (the roles have dried up) is the woman who at 40, 45, 48, still wants to play the ingénue, and can’t understand why she’s not being cast as the 21 year old. Meryl Streep will give you 10,000 examples and arguments as to why that’s bullshit, so will Helen Mirren, or whoever it happens to be.

Now actresses such as Jessica Chastain and Famke Janssen have spoken out against his claims, with both saying that the industry does not reflect that.

Taken star Famke Janssen was asked about his comments and had this to say:

That’s interesting. I don’t remember him being female.

Jessica Chastain had a similarly harsh comeback.

I think he’s getting his foot stuck in his mouth. I think there are some incredible actresses in their 50s and 60s that are not getting opportunities in films. And for someone to say there are plenty of roles for women that age – they’re not going to the movies enough.

For her part, Meryl Streep defended Crowe’s comments saying that they were “misconstrued”.
