The cast for the new Jersey Shore has been revealed and people are unconvinced

Let the gymming, tanning and laundry commence.

IT’S HARD TO believe Jersey Shore premiered almost eight years ago.

The show, which launched the careers of Snooki, J-Woww and Paulie D, followed the lives of eight housemates spending their summer at the Jersey Shore.

… And gave us moments like this.

The show also spawned wildly successful spin off Geordie Shore, based in Newcastle.

Unlike the show that proceeded it, Jersey Shore did not stand the test of time, wrapping in 2012 as they all began to have kids and inevitably outgrow ‘The Shore’.

In a bid to capitalise on the show’s previous popularity, no doubt, MTV have just announced a new season – with a brand new cast.

Hardcore fans are already being pretty unforgiving towards the reboot.

Yikes.

The show’s synopsis reads:

The show will follow eight young Southerners who are traveling to the Florida Panhandle, along the beach that stretches all the way to Alabama.

Floribama? Get it?

Their mission: Put the real world on hold for just a little bit longer and soak up anything and everything on the Gulf Coast’s hottest beach. But that’s not all: The four guys and four gals are at a crossroads in life, whether it’s ending a relationship, experiencing independence for the first time or deciding to get serious about the future. So behind the shenanigans with this eclectic crew is a coming-of-age story that captures the very real and relatable angst of being in your early 20s and trying to figure out what life holds for you—with a brand-new family. Y’all better get ready.”

Interesting.

The new series kicks off on November 27th in the states. No word on a release date for the UK and Ireland yet though.
