THE GOLDEN GLOBES was a night full of awkward moments, but few people had a more uncomfortable time than The US Office actor John Krasinski.

On the Ellen DeGeneres show on Friday, he explained that he attended the Globes alone because his wife, Emily Blunt, was shooting a film. At first, he thought it wouldn’t be so bad, because he was seated at Leonardo DiCaprio’s table.
Things quickly got quite awkward for poor old John, however.
I didn’t get a chance to meet [DiCaprio] and I didn’t want to be like “Hey man, I’m the guy who doesn’t have anybody!”
And then they won everything. So I was in the middle of of hugs, and they were like “This is the best year ever!” And I was like, “Wasn’t it?!”

Definitely there was a moment when [Inárritu] won, he said hi to everyone and thank you because they worked on the movie. And then he turned to me and there was this moment of, “Why are you here?”
It’s kind of comforting to know that even celebrities have ‘Oh god I’m going to a party alone’ anxiety, isn’t it?
