IF YOU’VE EVER found yourself in somewhat of a linguistic tangle, you’ll have likely turned to Google Translate for a little assistance.
And then you’ll have undoubtedly questioned that decision when the translations bears little to no connection to the original content.
While it makes for a relatively frustrating moment in real life, it makes for a pretty entertaining one in the world of the late-night chatshow.
Take Kelly Clarkson’s latest appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, for example.
In the show’s Google Translate Songs segment, the American Idol winner was presented with Google’s interpretation of her track, Stronger.
And despite the fact it made eff-all sense, the Texas singer absolutely owned those lyrics.
In fact, we’d be lying if we said we’d have questioned them the first time around.
“If you don’t kill it, then it’s too strong. Remain in a small place. My dreaming by myself is not my fault. If you don’t kill it, offer a bribe.”
Sounds fair enough to us.
Skip ahead to 1.40 for Kelly’s solo, and hold on for Jimmy and Kelly’s duet of Sonny and Cher’s classic 1965 track, I Have Your Child.
You know that one, right?
