Kim Kardashian was accused of throwing shade at a beauty blogger who gave her a bad review

She subsequently tried to clear the air on Twitter.

IT’S ALWAYS EITHER a feast or a famine with the Kardashians. They slip out of our consciousness for a few weeks and then come back making headline after headline. This week Kim Kardashian has easily gotten up to the most.

Over the week she has put up a poll to help her daughter North West name her new puppy and been met with fury from Twitter users disgusted that she would consider naming the dog Baby Jesus (Peachy Pop won out in the end though), she has come under fire for putting her son Saint in a baby car seat that was facing the wrong way and she also managed to make $14 million in 14 minutes while doing all of this. What a life.

The $14 million she made was thanks to her new cosmetics line KKW Beauty dropping last week but that is just the beginning of the drama. The night before the launch of KKW Beauty, Kim Kardashian West threw a party in her Bel Air mansion and included a rake of beauty bloggers and influencers on the guest list.

One of these bloggers that Kim invited was Jackie Aina, who posted a review the following day that was fairly critical of the new line.

Jackie wasn’t impressed with the prices of the products or the timing of the release of her contour/highlight kit suggesting that the trend is now in steep decline. Here’s the review where she gives an honest take on her first impressions.

The next day Kim posted a photo of herself and guests from her launch party on Instagram.

Followers of Kim instantly noticed that every blogger/influencer in attendance had been tagged apart from Aina. They jumped to the conclusion that the lack of a tag correlated to Aina’s fair review and commentary about the products.

To most of us, it seems like a tiny oversight that means nothing, but on the internet something as small as forgetting to tag someone is viewed as a huge mark of disrespect in the eyes of a superfan.

This led Kim to come out and make a statement on her Twitter account about the whole incident.

Why does it feel like a very strong portion of Keeping Up With The Kardashians episodes focus on the drama that revolves around making a minute error on social media and trying to sort it out? This will undoubtedly be the subject of an episode in next season. Anyway, here’s how Kim cleared things up:

This was met with a “Sure, Jan” from followers.

She assured everyone that she thinks the world of Aina and will take all of her criticism into account.

And called for Instagram to change their tagging system.

Realistically, if she uploaded the photo in the first place, then she couldn’t have been that annoyed.
