ARE YOU READY for the latest feat of artery-clogging food engineering?
It’s a hot dog, topped with bacon, in a glazed doughnut bun.
The snack is the result of a collaboration between Krispy Kreme and the Wilmington Blue Rocks, a minor league baseball team in the US.
And before you panic – that isn’t ketchup, it’s raspberry jam. Instantly more appetising, no?
The Blue Rocks aren’t the first team in the US to have a special artery-clogging snack. Earlier this month, the Arizona Diamondbacks premiered a churro hot dog – that’s a fried dough stick enclosed in an eclair ’bun’ and topped with ice cream. Bleurgh.
