IT WAS ONLY a week ago today that Kem and Amber took home the Love Island crown for 2017.
And last night the whole gang were back on ITV2 and 3e for a reunion show hosted by Caroline Flack:
Great!
Despite the antics of the contestants all summer, the real breakout star of the show has been the sarcastic and biting voiceover that’s taken us through every episode.
A bit of research would have shown fans that it was the voice of Scottish comedian Iain Stirling – but he’d never appeared in front of the camera.
Until last night – when Caroline Flack interviewed him about the show
So it was the first time so many people had actually seen him… making it a surreal experience
His voice made it seem like he was a grizzled old comedian taking the piss out of the young contestants
But no! He looks nothing like he sounds and it was all a bit of a shock
“Bring him in as a contestant next year” – everyone
Behind the camera, in front of the camera… he’s always the star of the show
After the show finished last night, Stirling realised his appearance had caused a stir: “Apparently I sound like a 40y/o divorced father of three. I’m not.”
A wise, experienced voice would give you that impression alright.
Once again comfirming himself as the real gem in the Love Island crown
Presenter duty next year, surely.
