Marian Keyes raised over €3,000 for Together For Yes with her own Twitter drive

That’s one way to raise a few bob.

TOGETHER FOR YES launched a crowd-funding campaign this morning to pay for ‘Yes’ posters across the country for the upcoming referendum on the Eighth Amendment.

They needed to raise €50,000 in seven days to pay for the posters. However, the side went, smashed and doubled their target in FOUR HOURS. Not bad!

And author Marian Keyes played a big part in the drive.

Marian committed to matching every donation made up to €1000, and to tweet her proof of the donation afterwards.

Twitter “did it’s thing”, as the kids say nowadays.

‘The Break’ author donated over €1,000 to Together For Yes, on top of the hundreds of donations.

You’ve got to love the internet, in fairness.
