Meet the Irish comedian taking YouTube by storm

Our girl done good.

WE TOLD YOU we were a funny bunch.

This week, online talent-hunters the You Generation were looking for comedians – and as we all know too well, we’re a country of absolutely gas tickets altogether.

Clare Cullen, also known by her YouTuber name Clisare, entered the funnybones comeptition and looks to be doing pretty well for herself. Out of all the entries, Clare’s submission has far and away the most views, clocking in at over 16,000.

Check it out:

Her entry video focuses on disproving (or maybe proving) some classic Irish stereotypes.

Which actually calls to mind her most popular video that you might remember – the super-viral Shite Irish Girls Say:

To date, almost 1.3 million (yes, MILLION) have tuned in for Clare’s video to hear what us Irish girls are saying. And it turns out our Irish gals are pretty damn funny, actually.

The winner is announced this Friday May 31st. Best of luck to Clare in the competition – let’s home she brings the comedy cup to its rightful home!

What do you think of Clare’s video on Irish stereotypes? Close to the bone or off the boil?
