The lad from Whiplash came off like a spectacular douche in a magazine interview

And it’s going viral.

MILES TELLER IS a real up-and-comer.

You might have seen him in films like Divergent, That Awkward Moment, Project X or last year’s Oscar-winning film Whiplash.

This month, Teller can be seen in Fantastic Four and has found himself on the cover of Esquire Magazine.

Unfortunately for Teller, he kind of came off like a bit of a d**k in the interview.

Among the highlights?

When he dropped this charming line:

You’ve just told him, by way of making conversation, that according to legend the champagne coupe in your hand is shaped like Marie Antoinette’s left breast, and he tells you the highball glass is modeled after his c**k. Then he tells the waitress the same thing.

When he mentioned that he’s actually really good-looking.

“I was thinking about that today, how I probably think I’m better-looking than the public thinks I am,” he says with a laugh, like it’s funny that he’s willed himself into a higher tier of male beauty through limitless confidence.

When he referred to Joaquin Phoenix as “Joaq”.

“But if I’m really homing in on the dramatic performance right now, it’s probably Christian Bale or it’s Joaq.”

It’s now the talk of the internet.

One person not so happy with the profile? Miles Teller.

Last night, the actor tweeted Esquire to tell them that he felt the article was misleading.

Since then, several of Teller’s co-stars have jumped to his defence and clarified that he’s not actually a d**k.

The writer of the profile, Anna Peele, has also stated that she actually liked Teller.

Seriously, though — Joaq?
