A Baltimore mother dragging her son out of riots has taken over the internet

She gave him some wallop.

A VIDEO OF what looks like a mother dragging her son away from a potential riot situation in Baltimore has gone viral.

The clip, filmed by a local news channel, appears to show the woman berating the young man, and hitting him around the head.

Another video appears to offer some confirmation that the women is the man’s mother, while the Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts praised the women’s actions, saying he wished there were “more parents who took charge of their kids tonight”.

The footage is being shared widely online, both in support of the woman and as a quickly adopted Twitter meme.
