Poll: Are you guilty of leeching off someone else's Netflix password?

You can tell us.

SO LISTEN, TECH Firm, Synamedia, have recently developed software which could potentially put a stop to online password-sharing.

ppp

Naturally, this particular development led most of us to think of one thing and one thing only; Netflix.

Launched at CES 2019 , the new software is able to identify when passwords are being shared, meaning that those who allow multiple people to make use of theirs could potentially be prevented from doing so.

“Casual credentials sharing is becoming too expensive to ignore,” Jean Marc Racine, Synamedia’s chief product officer explained.

Our new solution gives operators the ability to take action. Many casual users will be happy to pay an additional fee for a premium, shared service.

“It’s a great way to keep honest people honest while benefiting from an incremental revenue stream.”

Thankfully for damn near everyone who enjoys binge-watching their favourite shows with the help of someone else’s log-in, Netflix have stated that they are not working with Synamedia.

But it got us thinking just how many of us would be affected if they did decide to join forces.

Be honest: are you guilty of sharing your password with others or making use of someone else’s?
