Nutella allowed people to personalise their jars and everyone took the piss

What else did you expect?

LOOK, WE KNOW that throwing a PR campaign to the good people of the internet is only ever going to end one way.

And so it was with Nutella in Australia created the #MyNutella campaign – where people go online and create their own personalised Nutella jars.

Obviously, it backfired as people just typed what they wanted:

Early on, people spotted that this was only going one way

The Aussies know how to troll with the best

All of these are realistic enough, especially this

Nothing was off limits

Presidential candidates got a run out

Nutella Australia released a statement, such was the viral success of the trolling jars, saying:

Although some people have chosen to use the campaign as an opportunity to create and post less than appropriate images online, most consumers have embraced it in the manner it was intended.

They would have had many of these

And one final thought on this PR debacle

Oh yes.
