Obama just became the first US President to appear on the cover of an LGBT magazine

And the world is CELEBRATING.

IT’S OFFICIAL, BARACK Obama became the first US President to appear on the cover of a LGBT magazine – when Out Magazine released its latest issue’s front cover yesterday.

In the year that same sex marriage was passed in the US, Obama was named ‘Ally of the Year’.

And nearly everyone is in love with both the cover and the interview he gives <3

“I was proud to say that love is love”

Speaking about that famous Supreme Court decision that brought same sex marriage into being just one month after Ireland had voted to do the same, he says:

I wasn’t surprised by the Supreme Court’s decision, but, like millions of Americans, I was proud and happy that it came down the way it did.

And this quote by the President is being shared widely – on his own background of equality:

This really goes back to when I was a kid, because my mom instilled in me the strong belief that every person is of equal worth. At the same time, growing up as a black guy with a funny name, I was often reminded of exactly what it felt like to be on the outside.

There is so much love for the cover

It’s pretty epic

Ah, equality
