Yeah, you’d be right there. OneFabDay: The Wedding Podcast is hosted by head honchos Claire McGowran and Celina Murphy, who are behind the website of the same name.
These are two gals who, not only love weddings, but know their shit – OneFabDay.com is the leading wedding resource in Ireland, with a large international readership too. It’s also currently the No. 1 online wedding magazine in Europe and one of the top ten online wedding magazines in the world. Not bad, eh?
Both women wanted to carve a space out for online readers that offered practical, no frills advice for couples feeling daunted by the wedding planning process. naturally, it’s something they’re looking to replicate with the OneFabDay podcast.
“Our motto is very much ‘you do you’ when it comes to wedding planning,” editor McGowran said. “And we want the podcast to reflect that. It’s about making wedding planning as fun and stress-free as possible.
That means no-judgement, no ‘you need this’ or you ‘must have that’, just tips and advice you’ll actually use.”
“Couples can feel lost when it comes to wedding planning, it’s a lot of logistics, it’s a lot of expense, and for most couples, they’re navigating it for the first and only time,” Deputy Editor Murphy said in agreement.
There’s a real appetite for no frills content that gets to point and gives couples a step-by-step guide to what they need to do.”
Ok, but what if you’re not getting married yourself?
Chances are, you will find yourself RSVPing to someone else’s big day if you’re not planning your own on the short-term. Luckily, there are episodes on everything from how to be a good wedding guest (can I suggest not tying your tie to your head, first of all?) to what to do when you think your mate is marrying the wrong person. Gulp.
Whether you’re getting married or you’re just absolutely obsessed with all things big, white and wedding-y, OneFabDay could be well worth a listen.
