A COUPLE OF dozen filmmakers and actors have just had the best wake up call of their lives.
The Academy Award nominations were announced at 5.30 local time in Los Angeles.
Directors Alfonso Cuarón and J.J. Abrams, actor Chris Pine and academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs read the nominations, and Irish animated feature Song of the Sea is among them.
