They’re live at 1.30pm.

IT’S TIME TO find out who’s in the running for the biggest awards in Hollywood.

The nominations will be announced live from 1.30pm Irish time.

Directors J.J. Abrams and Alfonso Cuarón will read the technical nominations before Into the Woods actor Chris Pine and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Cheryl Boone Isaacs announce the major categories.

Irish hopes lie mainly with the Brendan Gleeson film Calvary, and the short animation Coda, voiced by Gleeson’s son Brian.
