A PHOTO SHOWING a college professor holding a baby during a lecture has gone massively viral, thanks to the sweet story behind it.
In the photo, Sydney Engelberg, a lecturer at Hebrew University, Jerusalem, is seen holding a baby and continuing to teach like nothing is going on.
His daughter Sarit Fishbaine explained to Buzzfeed News that her father teaches a master’s class in organisational behaviour and, as such, has a lot of older students in his class.
There’s a lot of young moms and a lot of them have babies, and he encourages them to just bring their babies to class.
In this instance, the little tyke started to cry and his mother prepared to leave the class so she could tend to him. Instead of allowing her to go, however, Engelberg offered to take off her hands so she could remain in the class.
His daughter explained that her father loves children and, as he is the one constantly walking around the class, he often offers to take babies off his students’ hands.
The photo of Engelberg uploaded to Imgur has been viewed over 1,000,000 times and received an overwhelming number of comments.
