THERE WAS A mass freakout on the New York subway yesterday morning when commuters were joined by an unexpected fellow passenger. A rat.
The travelling rodent ran onto the train through the open doors at the Fulton Street station, and caused a hilarious outbreak of adults screaming and clambering on seats:
Commuter Jinais Ponnampadikkal Kader, who filmed the commuting rat, explained what happened:
Someone started screaming ‘RAT ON THE TRAIN!’ Nobody realised what was happening but then as soon as we did, the doors closed and we entered the tunnel. People started screaming and climbing up on seats.
He added: “The rat didn’t care, it just went from side to side.”
