Irish Twitter is full of pride after the Marriage Bill finally passed today

We’re almost there…!

FINALLY, IT’S OFFICIAL. The Marriage Bill 2015 was passed in the Seanad this afternoon, to massive applause.

The bill will be signed into law by President Michael D Higgins next week, and Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald said we will have same-sex marriages by Christmas.
