Star Wars filming begins on Skellig Michael as exciting footage emerges

JJ Abrams and crew are decamping to Co Kerry.

WITH REPORTS THAT filming of sections of Star Wars Episode VII has already begun on the Kerry island of Skellig Michael, an enterprising local production company has been busy with the special effects.

Bold Puppy has put together this footage of what the island could look like when JJ Abrams and crew take over.

Radio Kerry reports that crew members began arriving in Portmagee this morning, and that there has been a lot of activity to and from Skellig Michael all day.
