It also suits anyone who likes eating sugar cubes.

THEY SAY THAT Dublin’s popup restaurants are peak notions.

Yet this year, for the first time ever, there’s a popup restaurant at The Galway Races for horses. They have even set up a little menu for the horses in the restaurant that they’re calling ‘The Mane Course’.

Here’s what they have to choose from:

Lite Bites:

  • Sliced Apples: €1.00
  • Shredded Carrot: €1.00
  • Large Spring of Hay €1.00

Sweet Treats:

  • Peppermint Polo Mints (x10): €1.00
  • Sugar Cubes (x10): €1.00

Interestingly enough, it appears that The Mane Course doesn’t even serve a main course.

It’s just appetizers and desserts.

Fair enough. Usually they’re the best part of a meal anyway, and we couldn’t exactly have racing fans trying to feed horses plates of roast dinners.

The popup is open for today only and treats for horses can be ordered through Deliveroo. Not too sure whether someone will pull up on a moped to deliver 10 sugar cubes to you, but there’s only one way to find out.

The physical popup is located at 5-6 Shop Street in Galway.
