Jorja Hope recently found out she has a condition that causes inner-ear hearing loss, and knows she will soon go completely deaf.

According to the Maitland Mercury, the 12-year-old’s first reaction to the news was:

I won’t be able to hear Taylor Swift sing.

Jorja’s twin sister Chloe wanted to do something special for her, so she set up a Facebook page and started a hashtag campaign to get Jorja to meet Swift at her massive concert in Sydney, Australia on Saturday night.

The hashtag went viral, after which Sydney radio station Nova 96.9 got her tickets to the concert…

…And an all-important meeting with Taylor Swift herself.

Speaking to the Today Show in Australia, Jorja’s mother Melissa said: “Things like this happen to other people, not to people like us.”

Jorja has battled her whole life from being born preemie with growth problems, to surgeries on her ears already and five surgeries for broken bones. She is a fighter. No matter what happens, she smiles and keeps going.

The family thanked everyone who had supported the campaign on Facebook, saying it was the “most amazing night of our lives”. Bless.
