What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here’s the telly that everyone will be talking about tomorrow. rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Operation Transformation (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

Will the leaders reach their goals and impress the team of specialists in this hour-long special tonight?

The Brit Awards 2018 (3e, 8pm)

Jack Whitehall will take to the stage at London’s O2 tonight to host this year’s Brit Awards. The long-running pop music award show will feature performances from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake and Dua Lipa.

The Restaurant (TV3, 9pm)

The first episode of the new series will kick off with rugby legend, Donncha O’Callaghan. Will the former Munster star be able to impress Marco Pierre White and his restaurant of critics?


Everyone’s talking about: First Dates Ireland

Between Jack’s extremely tight jeans, Jamie’s display of bravery in the face of adversity and Elizabeth’s use of French, last night’s First Dates Ireland was one to remember.

And then there was the bill debacle.

Twitter was far from impressed with Anthony after he allowed his date, Jamie, to foot the bill…. despite deciding there wouldn’t be a second one.

    If you missed the original airing, the first episode of this new series gives viewers a sneak peek into the ins and outs of buying and selling the ultimate dress. This episode follows comedian, Katherine Lynch, who is on the hunt for the perfect gown.
  • Suits (RTÉ 2, 23.45pm)
    It’s the season finale, and Louis wonders if things will ever be the same again between himself and Tara while Mike seeks Harvey’s and Rachel’s help.
  • The Funny Side of the Street (TV3, 20.30)
    This show talks comedy on the cobbles as stars of Britain’s longest-running soap opera recall the funniest moments from their time on Coronation Street.
  • Tom Kerridge: Lose Weight for Good (BBC2, 8pm)
    The group of dieters will be taken on a river cruise to celebrate their weight loss in this season finale.
