This customer wrote a 'fairytale' complaint to Tesco and got the best response ever

A+ customer service right there.

EARLIER THIS WEEK, Tesco customer Dav Nash purchased a packet of Free From strawberry and vanilla cones (read: knock-off Cornettos) from the supermarket.

When he arrived home, however, he was horrified to find that the cone had no chocolate, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of the ice-cream.

:O

Nash did what anyone would do and decided to pen a rather lyrical complaint to Tesco on Facebook.

Once upon a time, a small independent store called Tesco crafted a very special Cornetto (of course, it was not a Cornetto for legal reasons). This very special Cornetto didn’t have any milk in it and consisted of delicious vanilla and strawberry ice cream, wrapped in a crunchy, chocolate lined cone with a strawberry sauce through the middle.
Everybody rejoiced at this wondrous creation. Until one fateful day.
Imagine the horror of the unsuspecting customer, after carefully unwrapping the delicious treat to find that the previously crunchy cone was soft, lifeless…flaccid. The chocolate was gone! No more was the cone a testament to confectionary engineering. No more was there a solid, tantalising chocolate end to the cone!
The customer fell to his knees and cried sugarless tears of bottomless grief. The glory days were over and the prospect of a world without a chocolate coating brought an incurable ache to his heart.

“Will there be a happy ending to this story, Tesco?” the letter concluded.

The answer to that question is a big fat yes.

Not only did Tesco reply, but they crafted their own fairytale response.

Brilliant.

What happened in the end, you ask? Dav sent his details to Tesco and received confirmation that he would receive a £4.00 refund.

It may not seem like much, but as Dav puts it…
