THE FESTIVE SEASON. A time of joy and goodwill to all… Oh, who are we kidding?

Christmas, New Year and the fallow period in between are ripe for misunderstandings, family tension and silly arguments. We’re here to gauge the temperature on the niggly rows of the season and set them all to rights.

Today: Christmas – it’s not all about the presents, okay? Now that we have that disclaimer of materialism out of the way, let’s get to it – when is the right time to hand over gifts? Our incredibly scientific research among TheJournal.ie staff and the guys in the coffee shop next door has come up with three main time frames for the exchanging of presents…
