Sophie Turner said her hair requirement for Game of Thrones was ‘really disgusting’

Sophie Turner has revealed that as her character’s storyline in Game of Thrones progressed, she was required to stop washing her hair during filming.

During an interview with InStyle, the actress said that she spent a couple of years living with ‘pretty greasy hair’ – something which didn’t sit well with the British-born performer.

For the first few seasons I was allowed to wash my hair because I was an aristocratic young girl. Towards season 5 they started asking me to not wash my hair and it was really disgusting.

Sophie, 22, went on to explain that they eventually landed on a compromise, saying: “Now I wear I wig so I can wash my hair whenever I want, which is nice.”

But yes, for a couple of years I was living with pretty greasy hair.

“Also, we would have the snow machines going so we would have little snow paper particles that would get stuck in the grease. It was disgusting,” she added.

Suffering for your art and all that..

Bradley Cooper became a director because his favourite directors weren’t approaching him

Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut on A Star Is Born has been widely lauded since its release last Autumn, but he may never have taken a the plunge if his favourite directors had approached him first.

Speaking at screening in London, Bradly explained:

I was at a point in my life where the truth is the directors I wanted to work with weren’t asking me to be in their movies so I thought, “I’m 40 years old, am I just going to wait around?”

“I knew I had always wanted to be a director but I hadn’t had the courage,” he explained.

Oh, and just in case you’re wondering, prior to Bradley’s experience at Glastonbury, A Star Is Born was going to take a very different shape.

“It was this whole thing with Tchaikovsky Opus 35 in D Major and this whole ice thing and water, a whole different thing, that is the truth,” he said.

Anyone else got a new-found appreciation for that trip to Glastonbury?

Victoria Beckham is going to be trying her hand at…ehm… comedy

Back in November, Victoria Beckham announced to her Twitter followers that she would be launching her own YouTube channel which would feature ‘beauty tutorials, styling tips and lots of stuff from me’.

The ‘other stuff’ seemed distinctly vague, but it seems she was referring to the fact she would be trying her hand at a little comedy as part of a new YouTube series.

According to The Sun, the 44-year-old hired a scriptwriter for In The Chair, which will see Victoria jokingly cover topics such as her ‘secret nuptials’ to husband David and the reason behind her distinct lack of Oscar trophies.

We know; we’re as concerned as you.

The popstar-turned-fashion designer gave fans a behind-the-scenes peek on Instagram yesterday where she announced she was in the midst of her first day of filming.

“We are here today shooting my first YouTube video,” she said before adding “I am a selfie stick virgin.”

Right so; watch this space.
