HANX, OH HANX. What would we do without you?
The actor was on Graham Norton last night, telling stories and generally being an absolute gent:
100% DOTE.
But he wasn’t just charming the nation, he was doing important internet myth-busting work, too. Very important.
Last month, this 2013 picture of a mysterious man holding a crying baby started doing the rounds on Facebook.
The issue was this: No one could agree on if the man was Bill Murray or Tom Hanks. (We were always on the Murray side, but some people were genuinely confounded.)
Graham asked Hanks about the photo, and he confirmed that it was NOT him:
I’ve been doing a pale imitation of Bill Murray for most of my career. I know it’s not me because I did not take that picture. Unless I had a cranial plate shift that is medicinal, that’s not me.
Just to prove it, he recreated the photo with fellow guests Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gemma Arterton.
Beautiful. Thank you Tom Hanks: Internet Detective. (Would watch that film.)
