What to watch on TV tonight: Sunday

The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan (BBC2, 9pm)

Along with journalist Jeremy Durbin, stand-up comic, Romesh Ranganathan, visits countries that aren’t exactly overrun with tourists. In the first episode of the first series, Romesh heads to Haiti, and delves into the culture of a country which was devastated by an earthquake in 2010.

Reporting Trump’s First Year: The Fourth Estate (BBC 2, 10pm)

The second episode in the series, tonight’s focuses on The Times’ uncovering of details pertaining to meetings between members of the president’s campaign team and a Russian lawyer with – wait for it – links to the Kremlin.

Gogglebox (Channel 4, 10pm)

Pull up a pew, and watch strangers on your TV watching strangers on their TV. Tonight, the telly addicts critique The Andrew Marr Show, The World’s Ugliest Pets and MAKE! Craft Britain.

Everyone’s talking about…Veronica Guerin

Last night, RTÉ One aired Veronica Guerin – the 2003 movie which tells the story of the crime reporter who was gunned down on the Naas Dual Carriageway 20 years ago.

The film, which starred Cate Blanchett, Gerard McSorley, Ciaran Hinds and Brenda Fricker, reminded viewers just how incredible the performances were.

And, more importantly, how incredible Veronica herself was.
