The UK wants Ireland to help with its borders, and Irish people are having NONE of it

Not so fast, lads.

THIS IS THE headline on the front page of The Guardian this morning.

UK seeks to move border into Ireland

Yes, The Guardian is reporting this morning that Britain will look to Ireland to strengthen immigration control at its ports and airports to help prevent illegal migration into the UK.

Naturally, the news has brought out the nationalist in Twitter

*deep sigh*

Britain really hasn’t thought this through, has it?

Like, does it not realise that “Brits Out” is essentially Ireland’s national slogan?

Did you really think we’d be like, “That’s no hassle at all, lads!”

Father Jack voice: “FECK OFF”

We’re still bitter, you see

Nice try, Britain.

*roars something unintelligible about 800 years*
