RICHARD AND RACHEL live in a converted school bus they bought for $3,000, and decked out with solar panels and a compost toilet.
It has no shower and nowhere to wash dishes, but costs them just $100 to live in, and it features the first solar fridge-freezer, developed by a company founded by NASA scientists.
