What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here’s the telly people will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Love Actually (ITV2, 9pm)

Batten down the hatches, kick on the fire and stick on the kettle for Love Actually is on tonight. Relive Rowan Atkinson wrapping the necklace, tear up as Emma Thompson unwraps her Joni Mitchell and mutter, “Ugh, him” whenever Andrew Lincoln is on screen. IT’S CHRISTMAS!

I Do At 92 (Channel 4, 10pm)

A dotey documentary about older, retired couples as they prepare to get married. What’s more adorable than old people in love? Nothing, I tell you. #IDoAt92

Argo (RTÉ Two, 9.30pm)

Oscar-winning film about the operation behind the rescue of six US diplomats during the Iran hostage crisis. Lots of 70s beards.

Everyone’s talking about… The OA

Netflix has surprised everybody with the trailer for The OA, a previously unannounced series that’s debuting on Friday.

Per Netflix:

The Netflix original series The OA, which launches this Friday, 16 December, is from visionaries Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij (Sound of My Voice, The East), who created and wrote the eight chapter, mind-bending odyssey together. The show begins with a missing blind girl in her twenties, Prairie Johnson (Brit Marling), who comes home to the community she grew up in with her sight restored. Some hail her a miracle, others a dangerous mystery, but Prairie won’t talk about her seven years missing with the FBI or her parents.

And as you can see below, the trailer looks very slick altogether.

That’s your weekend sorted, so.
