Striking Out (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

What better way to kick off 2017 than with a brand new TV show to get stuck into? Striking Out is a drama that follows Tara (Amy Huberman), a lawyer that discovers heer fiancé (and colleague) is cheating on her and is forced to quit her job, and strike out on her own. Hubes, relationship drama, Neil Morrissey – we’re already into it.

Sherlock (BBC One, 8.30pm)
