Everybody’s talking about… #The Newsroom

There’s controversy over a scene in the latest episode of  Aaron Sorkin’s The Newsroom, in which a rape victim is interviewed.

Newsroom writer Alena Smith has taken to Twitter to express her anger at the storyline:

Smith has said that she found the whole thing “quite boring”:

I wanted to fight with Aaron about the NSA, not gender. I didn’t like getting cast in his outdated role.

Hollywood Reporter has the full story (with spoilers).
