WIN: Tickets to special preview of The Ides of March

Political thriller directed by and starring George Clooney only opens in Irish cinemas late next week – but you can attend a preview screening courtesy of TheJournal.ie…

Updated at noon, October 21 – Thanks to all of you who entered the competition – the ticket winners have now been notified.

GEORGE CLOONEY AND Ryan Gosling on the one screen, anyone? The political thriller The Ides of March is “an intense tale of sex, ambition, loyalty, betrayal and revenge” say the people from its distributors Entertainment One.

With George Clooney directing as well as starring, we don’t doubt it. Clooney plays Governor Morris, a candidate hoping to get the Democrat nod to run for the US presidency. Ryan Gosling is his young press spokesman drawn into the web of deceit, intrigue and manipulations of political veterans and the party machine. (We hope the race for the Áras is as dramatic for those working behind the scenes…)

The movie is not due to open in Irish cinemas until late next week, but TheJournal.ie has TEN pairs of tickets for a special preview screening at the Cineworld on Dublin’s Parnell Street at 6.30pm this coming Monday evening.

If you would like to be in with a chance to win a pair of these tickets, simply email us your name, address and contact number to competitions@thejournal.ie. Remember to put The Ides of March in the subject line of your email. Winners will be notified by lunchtime tomorrow.

In the meantime, feast your eyes on what to expect from The Ides of March…
