WB YEATS ONCE said: βEducation is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.β But oh if he only knew the fire he lit under Leaving Certs yesterday.
In the months leading up to the exams, it was predicted that Yeats would turn up on English Paper 2 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising.
It wasnβt a completely wild guess, but it didnβt work out this time. Yeats did not appear, and the Leaving Certs are going BUCK WILD over it.
Plenty of NSFW language to follow, if you wish to clutch your pearls in advance.

Others wondered if his non-appearance would be their undoing

There there, guys. Welcome to the exclusive yet enormous club of People Who Are Still Bitter About English Paper 2.
