She has posted selfies of her bleaching her facial hair.
Of her chipped toenails.
And of course, a selfie of her getting a colonic irrigation to help with her IBS.
The price for sharing some photos that actually resemble real-life and don’t perpetuate unattainable ideals?
Losing 3,000 followers on Instagram.
As Sanders told The Tab:
To see a photo of my bowel movements and not me in a bikini must have annoyed a lot of them. It’s that kind of ‘I didn’t sign up for this’ attitude. Perhaps sharing my real life was too much for them.
She also stated that the “majority of images that you see will have been edited one way or another” and noted that women were far more receptive to the “real” photos than men were.
I honestly thought that my followers would remain the same but my likes would reduce, but the complete opposite happened. Girls started commenting more on my images because they could relate, but men barely commented at all.
Many have praised Sanders for sharing the photos.
She may have lost followers, but she’s won tons of new fans.
