AIRBNB CHOSE DUBLIN as the location for its European headquarters because it has “hospitality in its DNA”.
Now the hospitality company has decided to bring that hospitality right into the office with some nods towards the Irish pub.
The reception area of the company’s new digs in Ringsend features a horseshoe-shaped bar using three different styles of tile found in pubs from different areas, as well as some old school Irish telephone boxes.
The offices were designed by Dublin-based architecture firm Heneghan Peng and feature meeting rooms inspired by Airbnb listings around the world.
The Dublin office of the company – valued at $2.5b – houses its Hospitality Innovation Lab and centralises some of its services in a European hub.
