Anne Hathaway can do a weirdly impressive Matthew McConaughey impression

Once again, Anne Hathaway reminded us why we all love her.

THIS WEEK, ACTRESS Anne Hathaway made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in which she charmed and entertained Jimmy and the audience fairly effortlessly.

It was her first time speaking to Jimmy Kimmel on live TV since the birth of her son Jonathan, three years ago, and she had plenty of updates on how she’s settling into motherhood. She joked about how normal Jonathan’s name is, compared to the baby names that other celebs have chosen over the years, before telling Jimmy Kimmel:

I’ve gotta say, though – I did have a lot of fun with people while I was pregnant.

Jimmy and the audience raised an eyebrow, thinking that she meant something completely different, and she realised what she had said, before joking “Hey guys… What’s up? A lot’s changed since last time I was here.”

Good old Anne Hathaway. She cleared up what she really meant, informing the audience that what she really got up to, was having a bit of fun of people’s expectations of pregnant celebrities.

Because people expect celebrities to be stupid and to name their children ridiculous things. I could tell people my children’s names were going to be anything and watch their faces as they processed it.

As the show continued, Anne finally got to the real topic she was there to discuss – her new movie Serenity with Matthew McConaughey.

The film’s a bit darker than most of Anne’s other work, but she was very excited to be doing something completely different. She’s also pretty happy to be working with Matthew McConaughey, because he makes everybody around him chill out a little bit. Jimmy said, “It seems like, I’ve been around him a few times, and everybody kinda does what he’s up to.” Anne agreed.

Absolutely. Totally. You’re with him and all of a sudden, you find yourself kinda like leaning back, you don’t enunciate as much, but sometimes you do – you enunciate in-ten-tion-ally. You drink more, you feel a little cooler, he’s just great.

Jimmy said that everybody does an impression of Matthew, but Anne’s is unusually accurate. Loving the praise, she went on to do it once again.

Jimmy was just as impressed as the first time around, telling Anne, “I feel like I’m in the back seat of a Lincoln right now.”

Later on in the show, Anne Hathaway showed off one of her headshots from early in her acting career.

Well, embarrassing as it was – it got her there in the end, didn’t it?
