THE PICTURESQUE SEASIDE town of Strandhill in Sligo is famous for its vast beach and perfect surfing conditions.
Which makes it a prime spot for visiting tourists in the summer – but there is a distinct lack of parking options down by the seafront, and the spaces themselves are fairly tight.
So, a Facebook page was set up this summer to document the worst parking attempts spotted in the town
It’s called ‘Sh#t Parking Strandhill’ and it features some audaciously bad efforts
They acknowledge Strandhill’s unique parking predicament in their description:
As you are aware Strandhill has the smallest parking spots in the world at a mere 3.8m x 3m. Enjoy our collection of people’s creative parking!
They’re not used to the tight squeezes – but there’s also just straight up bad parking on show
Glorious views though.
They get people sending in parking travesties too
A daily struggle, summed up in one Facebook page
