NEWBRIDGE WOMAN AISLING Barry is currently working over in Prague – and she unfortunately drew the short straw and had to work on Christmas day.
So her mam sent her a photo of the dinner table in Kildare yesterday afternoon, and there was a little surprise on it:
“See you’re with us in spirit having dinner”
She’d printed out a little picture of Aisling on an A4 sheet – and had her take her regular position at Christmas dinner.
Aisling tells DailyEdge.ie that the lovely gesture made her feel a little more homesick to be missing out… and that her mam kept sending her pictures:
Also got a lovely photo of dinner too whilst I awaited my chicken and noodles from the Vietnamese.
Still, it must have been nice to know her family could see her face while tucking into the turkey yesterday.
