OF ALL THE Christmas treats to get your hands on over the next couple of weeks, mince pies are perhaps the quintessential festive snack.
So tapping into that intense love is this chipper in the UK – who are serving up a deep fried version that actually looks pretty delish:
And people have gone mad for them, apparently, with hundreds selling in the first week.
The owner of the wonderfully named Oh My Cod chipper in the English town of Spalding told Metro that he wanted to do something a little different this Christmas and people are lapping them up:
A lot of places have done battered Mars Bars and we just thought this was something a little different.
With the battered Mars bar becoming more and more prevalent in Irish chippers, surely one of them will go for broke and attempt the deep fried mince pie.
